Winter Flounder (Pleuronectes americanus)
The boat is anchored in muddy bottom, we use chum to attract the fish, we provide mussels as bait, or you can use worms or clams if you desire. Season April 1- June 1 Size 12" and a 10 fish per day limit .
Summer Flounder or Fluke (Paralichthys dentatus)
The boat is set adrift over drop offs and the baits are dragged on or close to the bottom usually a hard bottom. We provide spearing as bait, and you can top off with a strip of squid if you wish. Some anglers use fancy Fluke rigs available at any local tackle store. Striped Bass (Morone saxatilis)
In the spring we use fresh or live Bunker (menhaden) and drift near schools of baitfish. In the summer months we supply diamond jigs but you can use worms, lures or buck tails also. And in the fall we supply live eels. Size is 28" and a 2 fish per day limit.
Weakfish (Cynoscion regalis)
In the summer months we supply diamond jigs but you can use worms, lures or buck tails also. Season all year 16", 10" filleted, 12" dressed. 6 fish per day limit.
Bluefish (Pomatomus saltatrix)
In the summer months when these toothy critters invade our waters, it is very
common to have your line cut off while Fluke fishing. At this point in time we
supply diamond jigs. Season all year. 15 fish per day limit.
Scup (porgy) (Stenotomus chrysops)
In the summer months when the Fluke fishing slows a bit we go for Scup. We anchor the boat over a structure and provide clams for bait. Season all year. 10.5" and a 25 fish per day limit. Except that passengers aboard a licensed party/charter boat may each possess up to 60 scup during period of September 1 - October 31.
Sea Bass (Centropristis striata)
Black Sea Bass is often caught while Fluke fishing Thes fish prefer clams but will occasionally take spearing. Season all year. 12” and a 25 fish limit
Dog Fish (Squalus acanthias)
The spiny dogfish shark is the most common shark and travels in
schools. They are called dogfish because they travel and hunt in packs
