TESTIMONIALS

2007

10/15/07

I would like to thank "The Angler II" for hosting our church group's fishing trip outing on 10/13/07. Everyone had their own share of good experiences, and overall we truly enjoyed ourselves.

Capt. Tony and Crew - thank you for getting us out into the waters and setting up all the things we needed throughout the day. Thanks for all your help on board (including teaching us the proper way to fish, and helping us reel in our catches). Great job!

Capt. Ken - thank you for your kindness and consideration. Personally, I just want to say thanks for taking the time to help me coordinate this trip. We hope to book another one some time in the near and upcoming future.

On behalf of Living Word Fellowship, once again thank you very much and God Bless!

Angler 2

Who was the smart guy in the Daily News that said there were no 19 1/2 inch fluke in Jamaica Bay?? I landed 2 keepers aboard the Angler 2 today to prove that wrong! Great job Capt. Tony. See ya again REEL soon!!!

Dear Capt. Ken,

This is to express our appreciation for the wonderful fishing trip the staff of the Swiss Consulate in New York had aboard The Angler Friday, June 8th.

Captain Tony was friendly, accommodating and professional and a pleasure to have as our Captain.  Mike, the mate, was very helpful in assisting everyone and patient in teaching our beginners how to fish.   We all had a wonderful time and I think the ocean has gained some new anglers thanks to the good time we had on your boat.

Wishing you a summer of lots of keepers!

Respectfully,
For The Consul General of Switzerland

Fished with these guys on the morning trip. Though I'm not a party boat guy, I had to get out and these guys were great. Had an awesome time. The capt moved around a lot trying to find the fish. The boat had about 7 - 8 fish , all keepers. I dont recall one being thrown back. I would definitly fish with these guys again.

Hey Ken, Tony, Arty

I'd previously emailed you about the 1pm run on 9/17 I took my younger cousin Paul out for, and said I'd email the add'l pics when I got them dumped off my memory card.

Thanks again to everyone on the boat for a great summer.  While there's other options in the area, I prefer to go out with you guys!

Just finished a great meal of bluefish oreganata and sauteed dandelion greens...thanks to you and Tony and Manny for a great trip yesterday! My son and I had a great time and plenty of fish...you guys also manage to attract the most pleasant, friendly crowd of just about any boat anywhere. We'll be out again! Looking forward to the evening trips resuming..

Take care, Eric

Captain Tony took my younger cousin and I out this weekend, on the Sunday Sept 17 1pm run.  We ended up POUNDING blues, like your fishing report says.  My cousin and I caught 10 pretty good sized blues, and still had nothing that compared to the pool winning fish.  We had an absolute blast, with the best action in terms of frequency of hits in the 4 trips I've gone on with you guys this summer.

Please thank Tony and Manny for me.  We had a great trip and I'm hoping to get another trip or two in this season.

To my friends at the Angler,

I recently had my first trip to NY the end of August this year (’06). I saw the city, played at the beach, but NOTHING compared to my boat trips on the Angler. I’m just a gal from Utah, fresh water only fishing!

With a ready rod in hand the Captain said "lets go out for some Weakfish." I dropped my worm to the bottom…and then it struck! My fight was on with something that was anything but "WEAK" !!! And when Captain Tony said I had a cownose, I thought "what the hell is a cownose?" Captain Tony was the freakin best! He followed me throughout the boat, watched my every move and didn’t once ask if I wanted his help to take my rod (I guess he thought I knew what I was doing). He was supportive and I felt very proud (and exhausted) when I finally got my 40+lb Cownose Ray onto his boat.  I was so tired I couldn’t fish anymore on that run. The boat came in, I grabbed a life vest and passed out on the boat for lunch trying to regain my strength for the next 4 hours

Now let me tell you…this was the most abnormal thing I’ve experienced in my life. It was so exciting, overwhelming and spiritual in a way. It hurt more than giving birth, yet was just as rewarding (sorry kids!).

Captain Tony knows his fish, and also his water. It’s just like he says “if you don’t catch a fish, take up golf!” I went out on the Angler 6 times total on my vacation, caught a Cownose Ray, Sand Shark, Fluke, Sea Robins (yuck!), and let’s not forget the Bluefish massacre!!! I’ve never in my life seen so many fish on a boat at one time.

But none will compare to my once in a lifetime experience with Captain Tony and my Cownose Ray. I thank Captain Tony so much for making my experience in NY the absolute best in the world! Who cares about the city anyways with the Angler around? Thanks again and let Captain Tony know….I’ll see him again next year!!!

Oh and P.S. I now HATE fishing in Utah!!! I got Hooked on THE ANGLER!!!

I celebrated my birthday with you guys last year on September 3rd, and we had such a great time.  Such a great time that I would love to do it again!  Are you available the weekend after Labor Day for a private charter?  We don't have a final count, but I assume it would be roughly 15-20 people, as it was last year.

You guys were so fantastic, and if we can make this work, I'm thinking of making this an annual thing!  (Plus, if I keep doing the same thing I did for my 29th birthday, I'm hoping I'll never actually hit 30.  I'm planning on just having anniversaries of my 29th...)

Thanks,
Cateryn (or Cat)

 Hello:

We went by Sunday afternoon and saw the beautiful new boat in the marina, but we couldn't find a place to park, so we couldn't come by to say hi. However, our good wishes are with you and we look forward to plenty of fun, games and action this year.

Be well and regards,

Elisa (Al and Hannah too) 3/28/06

To my friends on The Angler,

I am looking forward to the 2006 fishing season with you! Thank you for a fun 2005 season. The photo attached is the product of Tony's hard work in finding this fish in Nov 2005, a great way of ending the the season. Tony your a lot of fun to be with out on the water regardless if we are catching fish or not!

Best wishes with the new boat,
Christian
